Love Animals & Nature? House Sitter Needed in Rural Ireland

About this assignment

Mainly I am looking for someone who is good with animals, has an interest in gardening sustainably (I don't use any form of pesticides or herbicides) and doesn't mind rural isolation. And preferably a woman as one of my dogs is terrified of men (sorry, guys!)

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Mainly feeding and watering dogs (2 alsatians, 1 saluki), cats (3), horses (2 medium cobs) and chickens (7). Chickens also need to have their coop cleaned once per week and ideally let out from the run now and then - but dogs must be kept in during that time (the saluki loves fresh chicken!). Dogs should also be walked if possible - either just on my land or along a short stretch of river - with or without leads. They are not used to the road.

What are the good features of the property and location

Reasonably close to Galway City with acceptable public transport. Close to Lough Corrib. Lovely spacious house with a colourful garden including a pond and a sauna. Possibility of eating fresh vegetables and fruit (and eggs).

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I have one exceptionally friendly dog, one who is a bit aloof and one who is very nervous around strangers (men in particular). None of them bite but the two last ones need some extra TLC. And please do not call them 'fur babies'.
