About this assignment

I need a caring and responsible house sitter to look after critters while we are away in Austria for 17 days in July, 2025. I would like to have a single person or couple who loves animals and does not mind a daily walk with my dogs.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

1) Our 2 dogs would need food and water daily along with one walk.
2) Our backyard chickens need food and water, and for their eggs to be collected (and eaten :)
3) We also have 2 guinea pigs that have an outside pen and need food, water and occasional vegetable scraps.
4) We have a leopard gecko that is quiet and keeps to herself, but does need to be feed several crickets every couple of days along with fresh water.
5) Finally, feed our fish and refill their tank when it gets low.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our house is located in town in Santa Fe, NM near the rail trail in a very safe and quiet neighborhood on a cul de sac, with easy access to downtown and surrounding areas. Santa Fe has ample hiking and other outdoor opportunities, museums, galleries, restaurants, etc. We have a backyard with a hot tub that you are welcome to enjoy.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

While our pet list is long, most of them just need their water and food checked and refilled. The dogs need a daily walk, but can be left alone for the day if you wanted to go for a day-trip- they have a doggie door. My dogs would be fine with another dog if you are traveling with one.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: A non-aggressive dog would be fine.
