About this assignment

We’re looking for a caring and responsible house sitter to stay in our home in Tucson’s historic Barrio Viejo neighborhood and care for our two cats, PawPaw (flame point Siamese) and Milo (orange tabby), ages 6 and 7. The neighborhood is one of the most charming in the city—quiet, walkable, and full of character. Coffee shops, restaurants, and downtown Tucson are all within easy reach, and the area is rich with culture, art, and desert beauty.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Daily responsibilities include feeding the cats twice a day, administering a simple oral medication to one cat in the morning, cleaning the litter box daily, and taking out the trash as needed. Milo and PawPaw also enjoy a little playtime and attention if you’re around—it’s not required but always appreciated! We’d love occasional updates and photos while we're away to know they’re happy and doing well.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is a cozy 800 sq ft double brick home with a large cactus-filled yard, and a peaceful, neighborhood vibe. It’s located in the heart of Barrio Viejo—just minutes from downtown Tucson, the convention center, river bike trail, street car, and Sentinel Peak ("A" Mountain). The house has a comfortable queen bedroom, efficient air conditioning for hot weather, and ultra-fast 1000GB fiber internet. Please note: there is no TV, but there’s plenty of charm, quiet, and great Wi-Fi for streaming.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

No smoking and no additional pets are allowed. Our home is a 15-minute drive from Tucson International Airport. This assignment is best suited for someone looking for a peaceful and cat-loving retreat in a unique, central part of Tucson.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
