About this assignment

We are looking for someone with an affinity to animals, with experience of horses. You must be able to adapt to rural life and be practical and hands on when coping with the demands of living in an old converted farmhouse

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

First and foremost the care and welfare of our 3 horses, 2 cats, 4 hens and our dogs Rhumba and Oso. The responsibilities of keeping stables clean and feeding of all animals. The general day to day upkeep of house, vegetable garden and fields.

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is an old stonebuilt farmhouse which has been converted and modernised to a high standard. It is located in very rural surroundings while only 5 kilometers from a large town with all ammenities.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

It can be a full time job caring for the animals and the land. The horses especially need to be made secure in the field every morning and night. It is physically hard work mucking out and carrying hay to the fields.
