New Year week in Oslo Norway

About this assignment

We are reopening this request for a sitter as the couple we chose now unable to come. We are looking for a person or couple who love animals, like the outdoor life such as walking or skiing, and are fairly fit and active. We are looking for someone to look after our house and dog from 28 Dec to 5 Jan. Our dog is a 6 year old labrador named Ollie who is very friendly and loves a walk at least a couple times a day. Previous sitters have taken him for long walks and runs. If you are good at cross country skiing you can take him skiing too, but he will pull and so needs a bit of skill to handle.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

To look after our dog and house. Dog's routine is a morning and afternoon walk, sometimes evening walk too. We do have a large garden, but we still walk him a lot. As long as he gets two good walks a day he should be fine. Otherwise, someone who respects our home and treats it well.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a large four bedroom house just outside the Oslo city center Everything is nearby including shops, buses and trains all within easy walking distance. There are plenty of walking and cross country ski trails (if it snows!) and a downhill ski run accessible by public transportation.
We have used house sitters before and are happy to give references.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Norwegian winter weather can very cold and icy but lovely for a winter visit. Our dog is used to going for walks fairly often so will need someone willing to do this, but can adjust so most of day is free to roam the rest of the city.
