Looking for friendly easygoing responsible and reliable singles or couples ( sorry, no young children). Experience witth farm type animals preferred but not absolutely neccesary, you just have to be able to be in charge and not worried about getting your hands a little dirty! Digital nomads or retired/self employed people preferred. A car is neccesary here.
Because my sit isn't for just everyone, I like to get applicants/sitters in place and then make my plans. I like to travel and visit friends in the summer so I would be happy to work with you on travel dates and times that work well for both of us.
Care for my home and animals. Feeding and cleaning takes about 15/20 minutes am and pm, some watering seasonally, it’s really not that much work! Also, there is an AirBNB on the property, semi detached from the house, of which I am responsible for all management, communication and cleaning, but would like my sitters to be a friendly and helpful presence to the guests, for which I will pay a small percentage of the net.
Quiet, cozy home with funny and friendly animals to keep you company. I also have 10 5 star reviews from sitters from other housesitting sites that I can share with you.
A car is needed so prefer sitters that are close enough to drive or have the resources to rent. I have occasionally loaned my car but it is not my preference. If having a mini farm yourself is your dream, this is a great opportunity to try it on for size!
No, sorry.

A farm stay that will leave you feeling rewarded and uplifted
Where should I start? What an amazing 7 weeks experience at Nina’s farmhouse. I simply lucked out getting this house sitting experience. I had taken care of dogs and cats before, but I never had any exposure taking care of farm animals. Normally Nina requires some experience, but she took a leap and faith and entrusted me. I was open minded, I was curious, I was willing to learn, I was willing to take instructions, I was willing to own up to my mistakes (trust me, mistakes will happen), and was willing to be all in. It paid off. I felt like I went through 7 weeks of farming academy and came out of it with a more sense of grounded confidence, a more empathic view towards all animals and a more appreciation of the rhythm and slow living lifestyle of a farmer.
