House and Pet Sit for 2 Cats in large Villa - Tiana, Barcelona

About this assignment

I am looking for somebody quiet and responsible who loves animals, and has experience with cats.

Somebody who will also keep it to the same level of cleanliness as I leave it - clean and organized! This is paramount!

It is a large house and garden so experience with caring for a garden/large property. Preference for couples/singles 40+ and no children

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Daily feeding/changing water and cleaning litter tray. Some cuddles and playtime too

My place will also need regular vacuuming/cleaning to keep it as hair free as possible and maintain the same level of cleanliness as I do.

Taking care of the garden, watering/tidying.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a large, 6-bed villa with 3 floors and a large garden/outdoor space. We have various trees in our garden, including lemon, orange and satsumas trees, and a herb garden. We have an outdoor pool, BBQ and various terraces. The house itself has a wrap around balcony on the second floor, and the third floor comprises of an extra terrace built into the roof. It has sea view and mountain view, with gorgeous sunsets every night. Air-conditioning and central heating as well as a chimney for open fires. The ground floor has 2 double guest bedrooms and a bathroom.

We are located in the beautiful village of Tiana, 20 mins drive outside of Barcelona. If you have a car, within a few minutes there´s access to the B-20 road direct into Barcelona. There's a supermarket, local bars, butchers, fishmongers, vet, banks and other local amenities in the centre of the village a 5 minute walk away.

You also have a bus stop 5 minute walk away that will take you to Mongat, the nearest beach town (10 minute trip or 25 minute walk downhill) and where you can get the train direct to Barcelona centre (15-20 min) Tiana is located in a wine region and is surrounded by natural beauty and hiking areas. Its quiet and very peaceful.

I have WIFI, Netflix and all will be provided for you in terms of bedding/towels etc

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I want someone who would sit for free in return for free accommodation. My cats are beautiful and very sociable, but its important that you are quiet and respectful of neighbours, my home and more importantly, you are a cat lover. If you are messy and don´t like cleaning, this assignment isn´t for you. It is a quiet, residential town so without a car, you will need to be prepared to use public transport and/or walk. Its easy to get down to Mongat/train station but the walk back is uphill, and the bus route is longer then it is on the way down. Ideally, you would not want to move very often
