About this sitter

We are Marina and John, French-American professional couple and we love to travel. At the moment we live in Biarritz - France. We are responsible, trustworthy and reliable! We are healthy and like to keep fit, we love to take care of homes and gardens. Walking dogs, taking care of your cats or other pets and keeping your house clean and your plants or garden flourishing.

We have a lot of experience with pets, home maintenance, repairs and renovations. We restored many homes in California, Hawaii and France. Before retiring, John was a general contractor, and the owner of 2 restaurants in San Francisco. He is also a great chef. Marina is a business owner, able to manage her translation firm over the Internet, so all she needs is a good WIFI.
We are both well educated, speak several languages, have a secure income, no smokers, and love animals.

Why they want to house sit

We love to travel, learn about the world, discover different places and meet new people. House sitting provides us with the opportunity to stay longer in each place and to live like locals. It also gives us the opportunity to take care of animals, which we miss very much, We are interested in longer stays, but shorter trips are great as well.

Their experience

We acquired almost ten years of experience home and pet sitting, many of them repetitive with same pets year after year, and many not listed here as the site rebooted last year. Also we have a lifetime of experience taking care of homes, gardens and pets. We've done many home-exchanges that are pretty much similar to house-sitting, with the exception that both parties trade homes. We stayed in touch with all the people we exchanged homes with and did pet sittings for. We have very good references as you can see on this website.We do not charge for our services as we feel the accommodation is a fair exchange. We look at our house sitting opportunity very seriously. We would provide regular skype and email updates giving you the peace of mind that your pets and home are well taken care of. We want you to be completely satisfied in every way.
We will provide you with weekly email updates during your time away. We will also provide a thorough house cleaning before our departure (free of charge, of course) so you arrive home to a perfectly clean house.
We are totally devoted to animal care, and enjoy pampering your pets. Since our last adored dog Sissi passed away 10 years ago, we are taking every opportunity to love and care for all pets who cross our path. We will do our best not to spoil them too much. We fully understand how scary it can be to let a complete stranger look after your furry family members and your home. We would feel the same. We also know how you and your pet feels being left in a kennel ( Prison ) Ask any vet and he will tell you just how traumatized it is for not just your pet, but for you also. We would really like to know you better, so you don't feel like having strangers in your home. This is why we propose a skype meeting, or at least a phone chat, to make sure that we are the right match ( we believe we are the right match!).

What can they bring to the assignment

We genuinely adore all animals and the feeling is shared. While we don't have any more pets of our own (the loss of Sissi was just too painful), we have taken care of many animals throughout our lives - from fish to horses, birds and of course many dogs and cats.

We are very reliable, trustworthy, honest, friendly, loving, clean, considerate, respectful ... and so on .... Everybody can say that. So we propose you find it out for yourself, check our references, police check, talk to our friends and talk to us!

We will treat your pets, home and garden as we treat our own. We are serious, John loves to cook and discover local foods. Marina needs a good WIFI to manage her business a few hours every day. We love to go for long walks and work out - so your dog, if you have one, will get plenty of exercise.
