About this sitter

We are both early retired but have lots of energy for enjoying life and with children now independent we would like to take the opportunity to travel and see new places. We enjoy staying in more of a home setting than impersonal hotels so house sitting seems an ideal way to see new places and meet new people.

We have both had responsible roles in our careers so you can be assured we take our responsibilities with your home and pets very seriously. We have experience of running a home and garden, bringing up children and owning pets so we feel we are well suited to look after your home too.

Our philosophy is to treat your home as if it was ours and to leave it in the same condition we would expect to find it if we owned it.

Their experience

Many years experience of assignments via this website, both just property as well as property & pets. Experience of looking after 2 dogs in Spain that used security collars and a dog fence to keep them in the house grounds as well as maintaining the olive grove and garden irrigation systems. We have also looked after a remote house in Spain for 3 months over the winter and had to handle a minor flood when a water pipe burst as well liaising with local workmen for various issues, minor DIY issues we sorted ourselves. Experience of managing irrigation systems as well as pool maintenance and watering of plants to whatever schedule you require. I speak Spanish.

In Stockholm we looked after 3 indoor cats, one requiring daily medication, each having its own food so we are able to adapt to your pets individual routines.


Also we have experience of running a home with garden, bringing up children and owning pets so we feel we are well suited to look after your home too. Our philosophy is to treat your home as if it was ours and to leave it in the same condition we would expect to find it if we owned it.

What can they bring to the assignment

We both have a mature practical attitude. We have basic DIY skills if required and are proactive in resolving problems. As well as looking after your home and pets we would also be very proactive in resolving any issues that might crop up with your home or pets.
