About this sitter
We are a mature couple, Heather and Alfie 66 years and 72 years respectively who enjoy travelling and trying new things. Alfie is a retired School Master and I am now retired from work as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Northern Ireland Ambulance service. We both own our own houses in N. Ireland, and just recently sold our holiday home in France now giving us the opportunity of house sitting in various places throughout the world when we now have more flexibility. We will gladly give our phone numbers when asked if the home owner would like a chat before deciding.
Below is an email we received form a previous home owner who we asked if they didn't mind giving us a reference. This email is their response. (Zara is one of the goats)

Everyone is fine over here. Zara is (hopefully) pregnant
so hope to get to milk her in the summer.

Why they want to house sit
We want to have the experience of living in various parts of the world, without it just being a beech holiday. We are both quite active, myself still riding horses and walking, Alfie being the D.I.Y. expert and always wanting to fix things.
Their experience
We are experienced in looking after and taking care of our own houses. We both have had animals since we were children. At present we have Bernese Mountain dogs, one donkey ( my horse sadly died this year and have not found a replacement yet) two cats and a few chickens. Our grown up children are capable of looking after our livestock and will gladly do so if we are house sitting. We have been house sitting before and are always ready for a new opportunity.
What can they bring to the assignment
We can bring honesty, caring for your animals and household, treating it as it was our own. Will follow your instructions and do as you ask. Giving our best at all times.

Great housesitters
Heather and her friend spent a part of the summer 2015 minding our house. They did a great job. All animals (dogs, cat, chickens and most importantly goats) were looked after. They even looked after our polytunnel which wasn't mandatory. All house plants watered. The house was in nearly a better state than we left it! They had no problem accepting and following our rules. They welcome us back with a cake made and shopping done! They are absolutely fabulous people. We would definitely recommend them to future house owners.

House sitting in the Alpujarras
Heather and Alfie house sat for us for 2 weeks in November/December 2016. They looked after our house and two dogs and assorted cats as if they were their own. Our house was cleaner when we came home and dogs very content. Blanca, my horse was fitter and well cared for, and I hope Heather enjoyed her riding in beautiful hills. Our friends and ourselves now consider them as our friends and we welcome them back anytime.
