About this sitter
We lived a nomadic lifestyle from October 2015 to January 2022, when we moved to Naples FL - probably for the next few years. Sandy works mainly online as a computer consultant (after owning a manufacturing business for 20 years), and Alex is a retired instrumentation engineer. We enjoy walking and exploring.
Our goal as nomads is to experience different locations and cultures by staying for weeks or months at a time. Our blog is at https://nomadicpasseggiata.wordpress.com . Our only requirement is decent internet so Sandy can work, and we would prefer a location where we can walk to some things.
We're very responsible and tidy, and will take good care of your home, garden, and any pets.
Why they want to house sit
As nomads, we only own what we carry with us, so house sitting is a good way to have a furnished space to stay in, and to be able to explore the local neighborhood wherever we are. NOTE: As of Jan 2022, we have put our nomad lifestyle on pause for a few years. But we have kept our listing open, as we enjoy housesitting, and will use it as a way to vacation in different places.
Their experience
We have completed house/pet sitting assignments in Germany, England and the US, and we were homeowners for over 30 years ourselves. We sold our home in Pennsylvania in August 2016, after renting it out on Airbnb for 9 months. What can they bring to the assignment
Alex has done a lot of remodeling and repair projects around our own home and garden. So we can usually fix things if they're broken, or would be happy to work on a project for you. But only if you would want that, of course.

Excellent house sitters - highly recomended
Sandy and Alex looked after our apartment and house cat for 4 weeks in Sept/Oct 2018. We were very happy with every aspect of the house sit - they were friendly people, the cat loved them and they looked after the apartment leaving it very clean and tidy. They communicated well by facebook so we could see our cat was happy and being looked after. Highly recommended!!! Graham and Sandra

More than satisfied
Sandy and Alex stayed in my home for three weeks while I had a holiday in Great Britain. They cared for my two cats, my elderly dog who is on several daily medications and a young dog who is still prone to "accidents." They kept in touch via email, sending me photos of my babies and updates. When I came home, my house was definitely cleaner than it was when I left, and my pets were happy to see me, but clearly, hadn't missed me that much. I can recommend Sandy and Alex without hesitation. They will look after your pets as if they were their own.

What a lovely couple !
We had the pleasure of having Sandy and her husband Alex staying in our home with our three cats for a few days. They were a joy to meet, and a joy to leave as well, in that as we set off we were tolally comfortable with leaving them in charge. Sandy kept us updated with fantastic photos of the cats and updates on a few deliveries to the house. The house was immaculate on our return and most importantly the cats weren't even bothered by our return, they'd had a nice break with Sandy and Alex ! Highly recommended and we hope to see them both again next year.

We came back to a well-kept garden!
Sandy and Alex took care of our house for four weeks in June/July 2017. They worked in the garden (mowing the lawn, weeding) and Alex even repaired one of our mechanical garden tools. Sandy sent regular updates by e-mail and scanned the most important mail for us. They were willing to do 'projects' but unfortunately we had not anything prepared for them.
