About this sitter
Hi, thank you for reading our listing.
We are Angie and Paul, a semi retired British couple who love Canada and relocated to Vancouver Island in 2010 for a better way of life. I (Angie) am an ex UK Customs Officer, now involved with running our local community clinic, and Paul is a software designer, recently retired from being deputy fire chief and part time ambulance driver. We have had house sitters ourselves in the past in the UK for our cats, so appreciate how important it is to have people you can trust to care for your home and much loved pets while you are away. We are non smokers and honest, reliable, responsible people.

We have done many sits all over the world, including from other sources and by word of mouth from happy homeowners. We also have a large number of regular repeat sits.
As lifelong cat lovers we are interested in caring for cats primarily, but have experience with dogs and lots of other animals, so will happily consider well behaved dogs and other small animals.
We are fit and active, so stairs, hills, long walks etc are no problem.
Why they want to house sit
We became house sitters again as we are hoping to do more travelling and this way we can also help other people travel with peace of mind, as we guarantee we will care for your home and pets as if they were our own.

We were experienced house sitters in the UK and have been doing it again here regularly since 2015.
What can they bring to the assignment
Living towards the north of Vancouver Island as we do, we are very practical - we can cope with most things. We are very good at giving cats (and dogs) medications if required, and are not worried about the little presents left on the doorstep, hairballs etc!
We are quiet, clean, non smokers who will look after everything and everyone as you would do yourself.

Perfect House sitters who spoiled our cat
We have had Angie and Paul come to our home several times and each time we have a delightful visit before we leave. When we are away, they keep us posted with every possible event happening at home and they take such great care of our house and pets that the animals seem to love them as much as they love us. We arrive home to a spotless house and the occasional surprise gift waiting for us. I love having Angie and Paul at our house. Great Experience
Angie and Paul took care of our home and cat Kuma for two weeks this November. This was our first time using unknown pet sitters, and we were a bit nervous. They were awesome! They sent us updates and pictures during our time away, and our house was spotless upon our return. They even left us some homemade soup and chocolates. Our cat was happy, and so were we. Great house sitters
Angie and Paul house sat for me and took care of my 18 year old cat. They did a wonderful job. My place was cleaner than I left it and the cat weighed more than she did when I left. This is a good thing as the vet said she needed to put more weight on. It only took a few days for Angie to figure out the cats favorite foods. Angie and Paul were great communicators and came to meet me beforehand, emailed any questions they thought of and stayed in touch while I was away. I recommend them and would have them back.
