There's really no place I don't want to be!

Retired from professional life as a senior financial analyst and non-profit management, I now own and have operated an online niche market promotion platform for the past business 17 years (www.JazzBluesFlorida.com). My business is based in Florida and being totally digital for 15 years allows me to travel to and stay in different locales that have a music scene related to my business or simply of interest to me. I can (and do!) work/house-sit anywhere there WiFi and mobile phone internet connection can be found. There is a preference for two weeks or longer assignments for initial stays in an area as I like to a look a little deeper than a weekend tourist. I travel light and am very flexible with arrangements.

Experience includes island life in the Caribbean for over three years, owning a historic house in West Palm Beach for 15 years and multiple trips to Nicaragua over the past 15 years, so I am accustomed to all manner of living conditions, community and social norms and house and yard care issues. I grew up with beagles and had the best Dobermans in the world for 25 years. My normal day is working on the computer and some sort of physical activity during the day and out for live music in the evening if available. The evenings out are work-related and limited in hours. I'm at the age where I appreciate longer sleep hours than hours in venues listening to live music. I am very content being alone while still enjoying visits from good friends if it works well for all. Complete resume/CV and house-sitting (with pet care) references available upon request. What am I looking for? Clean, quiet, serenity with a view from my workspace and good internet service in the company of furry (and otherwise) friends!

I am looking forward to 2026 being the year I start my overseas travels once again. My deceased wife of 25 years was from Finland, and we traveled northern Europe together, so I am experienced with this as well.

Currently booked through July of 2025, I'm open to shorter Central American house-sits February 2025 through May 2025 while I am based in Nicaragua. The summer/fall of 2025 is currently a work in progress.

I wake up grateful every day for my health, friends and being satisfied with my life. And I'm very willing to increase that gratitude by learning more about this life and world.

I am looking to continue house sitting for personal and cultural enrichment/enjoyment/adventure reasons. It's a big ol' world out there!

Yes Jimi, I am experienced, with references.
And in reference to the question on the next page about 'Do I charge for my services?" The answer is 'sometimes' because I have house-sat for owners at AirBnBs and have managed the operation during my stay and income was split between the owners and myself. I've occasional been paid when owners appreciated my services. And, if there is a listing that presents itself as an opportunity that SHOULD be paying because of the stated expectations, I simply don't apply. This includes providing medical care to pets. I've come up short on my end occasionally in regards to this, but I still believe in the goodness people overall.

What can they bring to the assignment

I bring adaptability, reliability, responsibility, communication, flexibility and a small 'foot-print' to each assignment. I have a reputation of leaving things better than I found them, which is an overall goal in my life.
