Dutch/English non-smoking couple looking for short-term sittings in Europe and worldwide.
We speak fluent English and Dutch and have a knowledge of Spanish, French and German.
We enjoy walking, exercise, and are active people by nature, who enjoy the outdoors and wildlife in general.
We also have years of experience with Dogs and Cats.
Why they want to house sit
When on holiday we always prefer to stay in appartments or villa's instead of hotels.
We enjoy the privacy and tranquility that it brings.....
We also love to travel at home and abroad.

We are still now, and have always been home owners, and have years of experience of all that entails in running your own home.
We have also had the privilege of owning several dogs and cats during our lives.

Assurance that your home (and pets) will be looked-after as if it was our own.
We do not charge for normal pet care and house sitting, but will want to negotiate a fee if there is gardening or farm labouring expected.

House on the beach
Sheryl and Richard arrived the day before we left so I could show them everthing. We have 7 house cats and 3 need medication and Sheryl and Mike followed us to the vets on the morning we were going in holiday and they were taking Jasmine our cat back with them after her monthly treatment so we could carry on with our journey to the airport. The other two cats needed antibiotics and antinflammatories in their food. We also feed 3 street cats and we came back to the cats looking happy and well fed. We had a call when at the airport of a big water leak in the garage and Sheryl and Richard and our helpful neighbours sorted it and they liaised with the plumber and got the leak repaired. They were very efficient and took it in their stride. The washing was done and drying on the line the house was sparkling and clean. I would recommend Sheryl y Richard to look after your pets and everything else. Thankyou Sheryl y Richard

Helpful and kind
Sheryl and Richard are a lovely couple and connected with my dogs straight away, I knew they would be fine with them. They were kind enough to ask me out for dinner but I had prior plans but sweet thought. Left the place lovely and clean and did all the laundry too which was so helpful! I am sure you will be very happy if you choose them to look after your home/pets.

A Wonderful Couple
Sheryl and Richard cared for our 2 cats and our home for 2 weeks in August. They are very, kind, responsible, and took great care to see that Enzo and Zoe were happy during our absence. We had the pleasure of spending a bit of time with them before we left and felt confident our pets and house would be in good hands. We were 100% right and can highly. Recommend them. We hope they will return!

Great House-Sitters
Sheryl and Richard were my house-sitters for two weeks Sept/Oct 2021. When I returned I was delighted to find my house clean and tidy, the sheets and towels laundered and everything as it should be. During their house-sit they undertook a number of tasks I had requested and all were completed to my entire satisfaction. I have no hesitation in recommending this delightful couple as reliable and trustworthy house-sitters and would happily use them again if they are available.

Flexible and self-sufficient
Sheryl and Richard did a week long house sit for us at short notice in September 2021 while we were on holiday. Great communication and very self-sufficient. They just arrived and got on with it! Looked after our 2 aging dogs, 3 cats and 18 sheep. House was left very tidy and they even left us some Dutch gifts. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Fabulous and friendly couple
Sheryl and Richard feel like old friends now, even though we have only spent a couple of hours together! They were great at communicating before and during the time that they housesat for us. The two dogs were totally loved and Sheryl gave me a great idea for how to get rid of all those autumn burrs in Aggie's coat. I do hope that we can meet again and, if I'm very lucky, they will come and housesit again for us.

July in Mortain
Sheryl and Richard were lovely house sitters. They arrived the day before we left so we got to know each other. They kept in touch whilst we were away and sent regular photos of the animals. I hope they enjoyed their stay as much as we enjoyed meeting them. Would definitely highly recommend Sheryl and Richard.
