We are Steve and Suzy from the south island of NZ. I am a ex sheep and cattle farmer but for the last twenty years I was a builder mainly in residential housing. Suzy is a ex dairy farmer. We now run our own home handyman business in Christchurch New Zealand .
In December 2013 we traveled to France and spent 10 weeks looking after a small six month old puppy called Lilly and a cat called Pj. From there we went further south looking after three cats and the grounds and swimming pool of a six thousand square meter property for one month. On to Portugal for 5 months taking care of two dogs and five apartments, pool and grounds as well as receiving guests and cleaning and laundry. We returned to NZ November 2014 where we returned to work as well as manypet sits up till December 2016 when we returned to France for three months taking care of two horses and two cats. Our last assignment was back in NZ looking after a 700 acre deer farm with over 1000 deer and 100 bulls and cows as well as five working dogs.
We love house and pet sitting cause we love caring for animals and love to travel and making new friends. We now have regular assignments and many adopted pets.

Fantastic house/petsitters
Steve and Suzy were great house/petsitters. They already arrived a few days before so we could explain them everything in and around the house. On the day we left there was quite heavy rainfall causing blockages on our street. Steve and Suzy turned out to be very hands-on, trying to clear the blockages. Our dog loved them. We would definitely recommend them, they are super friendly,hands-on and with lots of experience.

Stephen and Suzy - The Best!
Stephen and Suzy house- and dog-sat for us for a week at the end of October 2019. They took great care of both our house and our dog! They were brilliant! Even though they were only here for a week, they did so much work in the garden! We were extremely impressed! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Stephen and Suzy as both house- and/or pet-sitters. We would certainly ask them again to house sit for us! Fleur, our black labrador, loved them too!!!

Fantastic House/dog sitters!
Stephen and Susie were really wonderful with our dog Flash who has had some anxiety/trust issues since he was viciously attacked by a large stray dog. They were very kind to him, really engaging with him and taking him out regularly on walks and in their car. They also took care of a few problems while we were away, including fixing a broken drain pipe, diverting water from the overflowing font after heavy rain, and pressure washing the terraces around the pool area after flooding water spread mud everywhere. Aside from being great house sitters, they are also lovely people, sociable, entertaining and down to earth. They stayed an extra night and celebrated Hogmanay (New Year) with us and our friends, even preparing some snacks and ensuring the house was warm after our flight was seriously delayed. We did ask them to come back for our next trip away, but unfortunately they will be back in New Zealand at this time. They will always be welcome in our home.
