We are a semi retired couple who moved from New England to Tierra Verde, Florida in 2016 to experience the Gulf Coast and begin a new adventure! After a couple of years exploring and enjoying the west coast of Florida, we decided to head back to New England and we settled on another coast, the coast of Maine. We also wanted to be closer to family.
Our former 1790's colonial home in NH was an original inn located in a small town where we lived for over 25 years. Our home included an attached"townhouse" that we rented to college professors and graduate students in NH/VT. We are experienced with ALL aspects of caring for a large property in all seasons .
Throughout the years we had dogs, cats, hamsters, and chickens as well as helping to care for neighbors pets, horses, and livestock.
Our home in Florida was a sweet, little island on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Our home now is an equally sweet little community of Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
We enjoyed volunteering at a theater in St. Petersburg, at our local state park/beach, are CERT Members( Community Emergency Response Team), and were bird stewards for our local Audubon . Within a month back in New England, we have continued volunteering at Fort Williams Park( home to the oldest lighthouse in Maine), Crescent Beach State Park, active Audobon volunteers, as well as volunteering at Maine's oldest community theater.
As retired adventurers, we do have flexibility to travel and love to explore new places.
'We love to travel, visit new places, and really get to know an area by "living" in one home for a period of time.
This is the first time in our lives that we don"t have our own pets, and would love to take care of yours!
We are VERY experienced as" lifetime" homeowners and pet owners. In addition, we have owned rental properties( even built one of our own homes), and are experienced property managers for both residential and commercial properties.
Our house /pet sitting experience most recently has been in Colorado, Florida, and throughout New England. References will be provided upon request.
Experience, patience, respect, great judgement, and responsible decision making.
Our professional careers were in art education, economic development, and property management. In addition, we started a very successful "Home Watch Service" in Tierra Verde , Florida.
Dutch was also board president of our condo association in Florida and has currently served five years as President of our condo association in Maine.

Testimonials
Everything went as planned
Cynthia and Dutch looked after our dogs and house as if they were their own. Left everything in as good or better condition than we left it. Fabulous and very positive from beginning to end. They are both very friendly and accommodating. Very highly recommend them if you want it done right. Cheers, Gary and Susan
