About this sitter
I am a single guy in my forties. I enjoy travelling and I love [most] animals so petsitting has been a wonderful discovery. I realised some time ago that traditional 9-5 jobs are not my cup of tea; I now only work to fund my travelling (I have visited almost seventy countries so far) and am slowly trying to become location independent.
I am quiet, laid-back, responsible, and respectful.
Why they want to house sit
I am not ashamed to admit that the main appeal of housesitting for me is that it offers an inexpensive way to visit places that I may not ordinarily have been able to experience. It's an added bonus that I also get some furry companions to keep me company.

Adam came for 20 days to take care of my 2 cats. He took very good care of the cats, they loved him. The communication was fantastic: Adam stayed in contact with me all the time, he sent me updates on the cats and pictures of them. Adam: Fantastic pet and house-sitter!
I placed a rather last minute request on MindmyHouse for a cat and house sitter over New Year 2018-9. Adam got in touch, found out the details, and worked out that he could make it - all in a very short space of time, and very efficienty. He was going to arrive after we had left, so I left all the instructions I could think of. Part of the issue was the fact that my boiler needed daily coaxing, and a leak just sprung needed dealt with. Adam made no complaints about this and, while I was away, stayed in my house and - most importantly - looked after my cats. I don't mean just feed them, but keep them company. He sent pictures of them, clearly comfortable, hanging out with him on the sofa. And when we came back, after almost two weeks, the house was spotless - better than when I left it. He even left the bottle of champagne unopened! Adam came with great testimonilas on another site, which gave me confidence that he knew what he was doing, but he went over and above whilst here in Edinburgh. You couldn't want anything more from a pet and house sitter.
