About this sitter
My name is Ewa, I'm Polish, single, just turned 50 (but cannot believe it still..), travelling/living a bit all over the world last 8 years. I've rented my own small flat in Warsaw and switched to more nomadic style exploring the world on a bike. Now, after so much moving around I find it more appealing to stay longer in one place and experience local life. Housesitting is a great way to do so.
Throughout my life, apart from Poland, I lived long term in 3 countries: Italy and Switzerland (lived in/did some housekeeping). Back in 2017 I worked for 8 months in China as an English teacher and that's what I do for a living now - teaching online.
Languages: apart from English and my mother tongue Polish, I’m pretty fluent in Russian and Italian, know some Spanish too. Would love to learn more.
I'm open to a house sit in most of Europe, a place that can be handled by me solo. It can be pretty remote, I love silence, nature and have my bicycle to commute!
Why they want to house sit
After moving around pretty instantly for last years (apart from the last 1,5 pandemic year, when I went back to living in Warsaw) I’m really interested more now in settling down and getting to feel local for places. I’m sure that’s a good base. Also, I have some projects that require focusing on - like writing a book, studying. I’m reliable, mobile, flexible and love pets, especially cats.
Their experience
I joined housesitting platform in 2018 year and was lucky to complete multiple housesits (4 international, a few in Poland). I was twice in the same place in Italy (invited to go there for the third time for 3 months Jan-April 2022). I love my meaowing friends and silence, have opportunity to focus on teaching/ writing and explore the area a bit on a bicycle. Also, I catsitted 3 times for my friends in Italy (2 dogs and a cat - 1 month), Warsaw (4 cats, 3 times), Gda?sk (2 cats, 2 weeks).
I’m not scared of being just by myself – on the contrary, that’s what I prefer and am used to. I've been solo female traveller for a long time!

What can they bring to the assignment
Peace of mind for a houseowner :) Your pet will be given lots of attention and love (food too:) and your house will be safe in my hands.
Being a tenant I'm aware of what is important when you give a space you own for use to somebody else.

Reliable, animal loving housesitter
Ewa looked after our house and cats while we were away for work - until I got ill and had to return for a few days quite unexpectedly. Ewa was very flexible and helpful in that situation, and we got on well. She is an impressive independent traveler and came with her bicycle to our rather remote place. The cats loved her and clearly had a good time without us!

Big Thank you!
Ewa is a very nice, adventurous and reliable person. She arrived a day before to Geneva to meet us and get to know the cats. She was very sensitive to the cats needs and made sure they felt good with her. We had some whatsapp exchanges during my holidays and she sent me regular updates and pictures of the cats. We managed to organize very well her departure. I’m very thankful to her and would highly recommend her :)

Our dear Ewa is precious!
We agreed on a deal after a simple video call, because we felt right away that she was suitable. She adapted very well with our dog Heli, kept the house nice and tidy (we came once for a few days and it was perfect!). She is reliable, careful and friendly. So much so that the duration of 1 month was quickly increased to 3 months, for the greatest happiness of our dog! Moreover Ewa is a very interesting woman, who leads her life in a surprising and courageous way. We highly recommend her and hope to see her again soon. Clarisse

Doting cat lover
Ewa did a lovely job house sitting and caring for my 4 cats. The girls are semi feral and quite shy. She was able to connect with them. I will gladly have Ewa care for my crew in the future.

Ewa is a very recommended homepet sitter
Ewa stayed at our house for couple of weeks and we were more than happy with her. She really got along with our cats which we love very much. She is reliable and takes care of your house like hers. Ewa is a very dedicated sitter and she makes sure that the animals feel as comfortable as possible. She sent us regular updates which were reassuring. Fantastic, reliable, nice, interesting cat sitter
Ewa came to stay in our cottage for just over a month, to look after our three much loved and spoilt cats (two maine coons and a mog), whilst we were travelling for work. She did a really great job - sending us pictures of them every day, making friends with the 'difficult' one, taking them for their much appreciated walks - and generally was a delightful person to have around. When we returned for the odd weekend during her stay, we were able to get to know her a bit better and she is a very interesting and charming woman and a real traveller with her bike. I would recommend Ewa most highly to take care of your property and animals. She is honest, decent and friendly - and genuinely loves cats.
