We are warm weather sailors in search of a cold weather home.

Both of us are pretty handy, love rural/remote living, and enjoy animals, although we have none right now. We have our own vehicle, and are free to go wherever the wind blows. Serious winters are no problem; our last land home was on the north shore of Lake Superior!

Our current home is our sailboat, which is located in Newfoundland. Plans for the coming years are to sail in the warm months, and house/animal sit through the cold. We value spending longer periods of time in one area, so we can really get to know a place.

We are available for house/animal sits from about October to May, give or take a few weeks.

Why they want to house sit

We sail Canadian waters during the warm months, and then do other things during the cold months. For the past many winters we’ve house sat at various locations all across Canada. It is a wonderful way to explore the country, and get to know new areas.

What can they bring to the assignment

We both love animals, and enjoy getting to know new areas. We have our own vehicle, and are retired, so are free to roam. We’re comfortable with both city and very rural life, And, we’re both pretty handy so can manage basic home maintenance with ease.
