About this sitter
I am a retired professional person who is a respected member of my community, having been the Borough Mayor and Bourgh Councillor for 12 years, I am have recently been made an Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Telford and Wrekin.
When carrying out an assignment my aim is to make the whole experience stress free for both you and your pet!
I have worked for a national animal charity and also for a company that supported people with learning disabilities. I have been a pet owner for most of my life, and although I don't have any at pets at the moment, I have undertaken 9 successful cat sits in Europe and the UK.
I am Covid vaccinated.
Why they want to house sit
I am an independent, reliable and practical person who loves to travel. Having visited much of Europe, I love the opportunity to stay in a property within a community, with the companionship of the owners' animals. Please note that I don't sit dogs.
Their experience
I am very experienced cat sitter, having looked after a dozen properties & pets mainly in Europe, whilst the owners were away. I have also assisted a friend who ran a service looking after pets. As a homeowner and as a person who has stayed in a wide range of private accommodation I know the standards I would expect from someone looking after my property and pets and will ensure those are applied to your home.
What can they bring to the assignment
I won't be staying away from your home or bringing people back whilst you're away. Because of my role in my own community I have a DBS available to show that I do not have a criminal record! I am a person used to managing property and the owners can feel reassured that their property, plants and pets will be safe. I have been fully Covid vaccinated.

Looking after Alfie & friends
Rae communicated well, and arrived on time and dealt happily with our last minute change of plans. Our cat Alfie settled in happily with her and brought her (unwanted) gifts which she was fine with managing. We would be happy to have Rae look after our pets again.

Mary Poppins
As the title indicates, Rae is the Mary Poppins of pet sitters. From the moment she arrived, she interacted gently with my two cats. Neither one is friendly nor trusting with visitors at first, but one quickly came round and won Rae's heart. The other was unfriendly (as she always is with all but my granddaughter and me) for the entire two weeks, but Rae never gave up on her, establishing what she called a 'working relationship'. Both cats were happy when I returned but not desperate to see me, as they were in the past when I've just had friends drop in to feed them each day. That says a lot about Rae, as does the good condition in which she left my house and garden, and her upbeat attitude, even when my air conditioning failed in +36C! I recommend Rae unconditionally and hope she will remain in touch. Thank you, Rae, from the three of us here in Girona.

Great catsitter!
We had Rae catsitting in our apartment for four weeks while we were away. She updated us frequently about the cats and she took great care of them. We came home to a very clean apartment. All communication with Rae was clear and friendly. Rae is a great person and petsitter and we would recommend her to everyone! :)

Very nice, trustworthy and uncomplicated catsitter
Rae looked after our cat for 2 weeks during our holidays. Everything went very well. She was very uncomplicated from the beginning which we appreciated very much. She also left the flat in perfect condition. Our cat was super relaxed and didn't seem to miss us at all. Recommended friendly and trustworthy house / cat sitter
I can totally recommend Rae to look after your house / cat. Rae provided friendly and reassuring communication pre, during and post stay. I felt I’d left my home and fur baby in very safe hands and on return the house was extremely well looked after and spotless. My cat Alfie was happy, content and well fed. I couldn’t have wished / asked for more.

More than perfect
As my first experience using this website i didn't know what to expect. Rae made everything super easy! She kept my house in perfect conditions and the pets (4 cats) loved her. When I came back from my trip i was surprised how the house was tidy and spotless even better than i left it before. I really appreciated rae organization and reliability, she was just amazing! I hope she will be back someday, my house will be always open for her.

Perfect reliable sitter
Rae came three times each of ca 3 weeks to take care of our home and 2 cats. Apart from personally being an extremely pleasant and lovely person, she also took very good care of the plants and the cats were very happy when we returned. I won't exitate to have her to sit again in the future!

Rae came to our house one day in advance, to learn all the details on how to take care of our 2 cats. Than she stayed 2 weeks over Christmas and she did a great job taking care of the house and the cats. We found them happy and the house very clean and in order. I would recommend Rae to anyone looking for a reliable and serious person looking at their property.
