About this sitter
( Note : we have been full time housesitters in Ecuador for the past two years. We accept jobs off this app so it’s not a true reflection of the number of sits we have done. We are also on trusted housesitters. We are now opening 2025 as we’ve been booked solid the past two years). We are now retired from successful careers and have no children or pets at home anymore. We’ve raised 4 kids and many dogs, cats and even been in charge of horses and chickens during our time together. We seek new places and environments ! Chris has been an internationally syndicated photographer: www.christopherbarr.com and he now is writing. Michelle is a budding new artist recycling “trash” to art! Murals also !
Why they want to house sit
We have decided to do some traveling in the slow lane which means landing in other places for months and years at a time - not as tourists. Our skill sets allow us the opportunity to help others care for their Airbnb’s, homes and pets by trusted caregivers-us!
Their experience
We are on mind my house and trusted housesitters. We been professional property managers and in customer service for over 30 years in 5 different states. Christopher has designed and built several photography studios and has some construction skills too. Michelle is a licensed realtor with long term property management experience. Honest, reliable , solution oriented and peaceful ! We have referrals from many offsite sits and are happy to provide. Currently in Ecuador. We are booked in sits through April 2024 and taking reservations beginning Mid May 2024!
What can they bring to the assignment
We are compassionate, professional level individuals who will not disappoint anyone who entrusts their rental dwellings, homes or loved animals to our care. We have servant hearts and will honor, respect and maintain your property as our own. FBI background checks are available when you request our services. Prefer longer term sits and currently are in Ecuador. We do have a valid international drivers license and do not smoke. We are homebodies but do look forward to seeing some of each place we visit. Please reach out for your reservation needs. Michelle has recently began refurbishing trash and furniture for art if you have needs or desires that’s an added bonus. Pics available.

I want them back! and back! and back!
Chris and Michelle are so much more than housesitters. They not only gave my three rescue dogs so much love but they taught them things too. My dogs are calmer and more obedient than when I left. Chris and Michelle are amazing people in their own right, each with something to offer to the housesit and to the future of your home. When I asked for help they offered me practical changes that have really improved some of the challenges of my house, which I bought recently. They are great communicators, they accepted all my requests to get this and pay for that...and carried everything out to the letter. I have rental houses on the property and a full time worker and they were always there when needed and helped with everything that they could. Everyone on my property loved them. I want them back to my house again and again and again. I give them an A++ as housesitters. Do not hesitate to contact them.

Fantastic House Sitting Experience with Michelle and Chris!!!!
Michelle and Chris did an amazing job taking care of our house and watching our dog, chickens and plants. They left the house spotless and had great communication for the few weeks we were gone by sending us pictures of our dog on walks. They were super sweet and we would absolutely have them back to stay at our house! Thank you Michelle and Chris!!!
