I've travelled to a few different countries for short trips, but I've also lived in Germany, Scotland and France as well as months-long house sits in Switzerland. From my experiences, I prefer slow, meaningful travel more than just a long-weekends away; you have the time to appreciate your surroundings as well as explore the places, people and cultural differences. I enjoy being outdoors, in nature, appreciating the beauty that surrounds me.

Why they want to house sit

I enjoy slow travel, taking time to discover new places and soaking up what their nature and culture has to offer, while working on my photography and writing. House sitting does that well while still providing the opportunity to be of service to someone and their plant and animal companions as they embark on their own journeys.

We’ve looked after cats, dogs and birds. Our stays ranged from 3 weeks to 4 months and we are generally flexible even within the period, having extended our stay due to the home owner‘s request.
