Animal Loving Family Seeking new Adventures!

About this sitter

Hello there, I have been petsitting with my family (hubby Neil and my daughter Ruby who is 12) for a few years now and have lots of animal experience. We are a very tidy and reliable family who will look after your house, pets and possessions like our own. I am an immigration lawyer and Neil is an IT manager. Both Neil and I can work from home so can be flexible and present during house-sits.

Why they want to house sit

We love exploring new places, learning new languages and sampling regional food and drink. We love long walks in the countryside, exploring new cities, beaches, cosy pubs, cooking and travelling. We are complete animal lovers with lots of experience looking after our own, and other people's furry families, so a break that also involves looking after pets is just perfect for us.

Their experience

We have our own cat and dog at home who are indulged and adored but who can stay at home with my older son if necessary. We have lots of experience with all breeds of dogs, big and small, from Terriers to Huskies as well as Siamese, Sphynx, Bengal and other oriental cats. We also have experience with rescue and mixed breed doggies and moggies of all sorts plus fish, chickens and other more unusual pets!

What can they bring to the assignment

My daughter, Ruby, is calm, sensible and sensitive and very experienced with dogs, cats, chickens, hedgehogs, pigs, goats and everything furry and/or four-legged.

As well as pet-sitting, we have looked after rabbits and hedgehogs at home, and provided dog-walking and pet feeding services locally. I have previously been a 'puppy parent' for the charity Canine Partners which trains dogs to work with the disabled. I was a veterinary nurse for 5 years both in the UK and Australia so I'm generally quite used to all creatures great and small! I have no problem with administering medication or dealing with emergencies.

I have regularly looked after a lovely old cat locally while his humans are away and I also petsit for another family who have cats, fish and chickens.

As a family, we spent the whole of summer 2018 looking after a gorgeous Irish terrier and some chickens in Dorset and summer 2019 cat-sitting two mischievous Siamese kittens in Cartagena, Spain! This year (2022) my son and I have been to Luxembourg to look after a lovely one-eyed moggie on lots of medication and I spent a week with my hubby and daughter and a snuggly Husky/Pug pair in Cheltenham. We have had multiple sits with another two gorgeous spaniels in Dorset and we have loved them all.

I can provide testimonials for these housesits and I also have reviews for catsitting on another website. I can provide additional references for these and other housesitting jobs we have done for your peace of mind and I also have a full DBS certificate :-) Both Neil and I have full, clean driving licenses and are non-smokers.
