Thanks for showing interest in receiving house sitting services from us or just myself :) my name is Love Markin, I’m 24 years old, I’ve done quite a bit of traveling around the U.S. and I have house/pet sit in many different states.I grew up in the Midwest and my husband, Daniel (23) actually came to America from Russia, however currently we’re living in Brooklyn, NY. We’ve just recently moved a couple of months ago and still have so much to see. Since it’s not the best timing for me to have one of our own right now, I’m sticking to pet and house sitting locally. I deal with anxiety and ptsd so it’s very therapeutic to me when I get to be around animals. It’s also nice to just meet new people in the area and make good and possibly long lasting connections. We both enjoy making music individually and together but sadly had to sell all of our equipment to make ends meet. we’re saving up to get new equipment so we can continue doing what we love though. We’re both home bodies at heart, which means we also love snuggles from sweet fur babies and just spending our downtime at home with each other. We love solitude and don’t really like to go out much as we have a very small circle of friends and they live in other states. Open to long or short term sits based on my/our availability, which we can communicate about if you consider services from me/us. I love house sitting because we get so much more freedom to connect with new people and places of course but we also get the chance to spend time with some really sweet and amazing beings that just make each day a little easier to get through. A calm environment with well respected privacy is always a preference, as we are very laid back people and want to be able to provide the best care possible wherever we stay as well.

Why they want to house sit

I did my first house sit 4 years ago, I’ve cared for many homes, pets, plants and even farms since then. It’s helped me get really clear in my preferences and each experience gets better. My husband and I have house sat 3 times together in the last year which was nice as well, although we do enjoy our space when he can’t house sit with me and I do it by myself. We love housesitting, it has allowed great opportunities to open up for me/us in the past too. This is another reason why I love being able to do this. I can get the vibe of different communities, connect with nature, and be of support with those that also love traveling and experiencing new things. House sitting has been so supportive to me and my husband so we may travel or get to know different parts of our current location and experience safe, stable living quarters while providing care for your home and/or loved ones.

What can they bring to the assignment

Well, it wouldn’t be my name if I wasn’t gonna bring some love in when I arrive lol but really, my intention is to always bring a friendly warm welcome to any home I enter, and to follow instructions as listed to provide the best care possible. We are not an huge fan of loud noises or large crowds, although, i do tend to sing a lot when doing just about anything. I’ve never heard a complaint about that though. We provide clear, transparent, frequent communication and we’re very clean people, in an almost obsessive way. I have years of experience in housekeeping and I am the oldest of 7 children so as a result I am, by habit, a very clean person. I’ve had a bit of experience in plant care and studying herbology, simply because it brings me great joy too. Most of all, I/we recognize how important it is in taking care of something or someone that is loved by others greatly and it is important to me/us that we always have clear instructions, written agreements, and expectations so that the best possible care can be provided. We are lovers of travel and I hope someone may be able to do the same for us someday. I have personal references I can share if interested in having me/us as your sitter and I have ample flexibility with scheduling.
