Hi, I'm Patrice (my family calls me Pat.) I'm a former Chemistry Instructor and an Attorney on sabbatical navigating a career change. I have FBI top security clearance, a TSA Known Traveler Number (KTN) from IDEMIA, excellent credit, references and letters of recommendation.
I prefer wood floors to carpeting and will continue to use whatever cleaning service you use for the upkeep of your home.

Why they want to house sit

Initially to save on living expenses during this sabbatical and career transition and provide care and warmth for the home and living beings ( pets and plants ) that provide so much warmth and joy and companionship for their people. Now that I’m living in the metro-DC I will also travel to local homes 1-2 times daily for a fee to feed, play with and care for your pets without needing to sleep in your home.

Yes. I have decades of long-term periodic experience including starting as an au pair while an undergrad at Wellesley College, 10 years (1984-1994) with A Better Chance, Inc. PSP House in New England (final 2 years as Resident Director;) house sitting on Maui and in Los Angeles 2005 - 2008 and more recently in Atlanta, Georgia (February - June 2, 2023.) Montpelier, Vermont ( June 2023) Boston, MA (July - August 2023); So. California ( September 2023 -February 2024 ) and Bay Area February 29 - April 6, and May, June & July ( 7-10 days each time for same household) 2024; Charlottesville, VA ( Aug-Sept 2024) & Washington, DC ( September 2024.)

Exceptional communication skills and warmth; mindful presence; trustworthiness, authenticity and integrity, and playfulness ( pets and children are generally drawn to me because I thoroughly enjoy being present with them and giving and receiving warmth and presence and play.)
