About this sitter
Fully booked until May 2025. Will be in New Zealand until end of August 2026.
Retired business owners. Gardener & Electrician. Non smokers.
Travellers, love to grow and cook our own food, readers, hikers...preferably with a pet or two.
An abundance of commonsense and respect for other people's property. We expect and will maintain a clean environment for ourselves and all the pets in our care.
We are fortunate to have a lovely person looking after our house ( in W Australia) and pets (4 chickens, 1 cat and 2 Bee hives). Our dog..see party hat photo passed away 2022.
Housesits we have completed (not all with mindmyhouse )
8 week .....Bulgaria (Koevski, very small village) from June to August 2023, 3 dogs, 5 cats + setup a poly tunnel & planted out vegetables and herbs.
2 week.....Greece, (Trifolo, apartment), September, cats.
5 weeks......Hungary (Csongrad, country town) 2023, 2 boisterous dogs.
1 week.....New Zealand (Gibbston, rural property) July 2024. Large energetic dog.
2 weeks.....New Zealand (Claremont, rural property) August 2024. Cats , chickens.
2 weeks.....New Zealand (Washdyke, lifestyle block) September 2024. 4 cats, 2 dogs, chickens.
We do not Do parties, we cuddle, talk to, walk with animals, read, sew, cook, garden, smile and laugh often. We are experienced with most animals. Between the two of us we have had horses, ferret's, dogs, cats, goats, numerous chickens plus. Plus of course we have had the good fortune to have been able to look after lots of pets either through house sit agencies or for family and friends.
Can supply email addresses for references when requested. We have Western Australian police clearance certificates available to email also. International drivers license' s each. We had a hire vehicle for the 5 odd months we were in Europe.. Should you be comfortably in loaning us your car we will of course be extra careful with it, we are good drivers and have clean drivers license's.
We have just recently returned home and are looking at leaving for somewhere overseas soon, November 2024. Preferably cold weather.
Why they want to house sit
Love the randomness of worldwide house sits. Thoroughly enjoy meeting different pets, farm animals.
Checking out local villages, trying to learn the languages, hiking the countryside is a wonderful learning experience.
