About this sitter
I am a curious and open minded person always looking for new experiences in order to never stopp learning and exchanging knowledge. Now I am retired and a next period in life arises and with it the idea of house- and petsitting. Although I travelled a lot while working as a medical doctor all over the world, I now continue enjoying it with more freedom and flexibility. Looking forward to know more and more wonderful places on this adorable world with precious fury souls.
I speak German, English, Portuguese fluently plus Spanish and French for basic conversations.
Why they want to house sit
I am blessed to have had the opportunity to spend some time with my much beloved pets ( dog and cat) and I literally carried them around the world with me. As my fury companions already went over the rainbow, the idea came up to me :
travels + my love for fury companions = pet- and housesitting is the upmost best solution right now !!! to combine this two passions and giving peace in mind for the owners that their precious and beloved pets are best looked after while they are away from home .
Trust-honesty-love-gratitude you only might experience while exposing yourself to it which bilaterally is the meaning and beauty of a community like this.

Well, I have been a pet and house owner with a 1400 qm garden myself at times/ during my travels and work assignments I have been provided and trusted with apartments and houses to take care of. I did pet- and housesittings for family and friends. It is the first time for me to use this kind of platforms !
What can they bring to the assignment
I don’t not know exactly what I am supposed to write here- skills or equipment? Anyhow:
Beside the usual housekeeping issues, I know basic gardening ( not any particular form), I know health issues in humans and pets- I like amongst many other things very much photography, quietness, nature, music, walking. I travel usually by public transport and don’t posses a vehicle although I have a drivers license and if necessary I hire a car. I am healthy and mobile. Mostly I travel by myself and at times I meet up with old friends from home (which is Germany, but I don’t resident there anymore) wherever it is suitable.

Great job Astrid !
Astrid Bodendieck took great care of our Golden retriever, Jirolle, and our house while we were vacationing this summer. Jirolle and Astrid immediately became very good buddies, as Astrid really knows how to handle pets and is very confident around them. Astrid is a quiet, simple, yet outgoing person who quickly adjusted to our home. She enjoyed our garden in company of Jirolle, and she took her for long walks in the neighborhood. As an independent professional, Astrid also worked from home in a quiet environment. When we came back, our home was super clean and tidy, and Jirolle was very sad when Astrid left ... In summary, we are very happy and thankful for this experience and we highly recommend Astrid for future house and pet sitting.

Caring, warm and
Astrid was a wonderful house/pet sitter who went above and beyond for Sam. Not only did she get 2-3 walks a day, played fetch in the garden but Astrid also prepared homemade food for her with extra in the freezer for us to use. She also picked and froze berries from our yard and surrounding area as I’m often sad we miss out on the season when we’re away. Our house was left in great condition, lawn mowed, plants healthy, tidy and aired out/cooled down for when we arrived home in the evening. Astrid was excellent at communicating with us about Sam, sending photos and videos of her and the hedgehog she met in the garden and the neighbours cat who frequently visits. It was my first experience with house/pet sitting but the ease I felt with Sam being home in her garden, instead of at someone else’s place is definitely the reason I will use Mindmyhouse again. Thank you Astrid for taking care of our pup and our home.

Great House sitters
Astrid and her friend Andrea spent 2 weeks looking after our house, dogs and chickens and did a great job. The dogs were walked and loved and were very happy to see us on our return, but also very sad to see their new friends leave. The chickens were in excellent health too. The 2 girls looked after the house extremely well and kindly cooked a delicious meal on the evening we returned. We enjoyed Astrid and Andre’s company during the time we were with them, they are stimulating company, and interesting to chat to. They are excellent house sitters and would equally well cope if they were on their own. We are very happy to recommend them as house sitters.
