About this sitter

Hello! My name is Luiza, I'm 35, originally from Rio, Brazil, but living in London for the past 8 years. I work in Marketing for one of the Big Four tech companies and speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish (although a little rusty!).

I have a range of different interests, but I love travelling, cycling, hiking, boxing, baking, reading, and of course trying new food. I am very keen on slow travel and love to really immerse myself into the places I explore - although recently this has been harder to do due to my corporate job.

Why they want to house sit

After spending 6 weeks back home in Rio due to a family illness, I realised how lucky I was to have such amazing nature right at my doorstep, and to be able to cycle by the beach every day after work to decompress. It's something I miss a lot in a big city like London. Since I work a very demanding job, time in nature is essential for me to recharge.

House sitting would allow me to explore while also disconnecting from the chaos of the big city. Living in London hasn't afforded me the opportunity of having a pet while renting, so if there are any pets to take care of I would welcome this wholeheartedly and would very much enjoy going on walks while getting to explore a new place at the same time.

Although I am hoping to find more house sits that are close to nature, I am very much open to assignments in major cities too - especially if it allows me to escape to a sunnier location for a little bit!

Their experience

While I am looking for my first house sitting assignment, I have experience with dog-sitting and with dogs in general. I've owned different breeds of dogs throughout my life (mainly medium and large breeds, like German Shepherd, Irish Setter, Beagle and mixed-breed), but I've also completed dog sitting for smaller breeds like Cockapoo and French Bulldog, so am quite experienced with handling different temperaments. I also have experience with smaller pets, and know first-hand the difference a pet can make to your mental health.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am extremely clean and tidy and will treat your home as if it were mine. I'm also not a party person, so you can have peace of mind that any rules will be followed and that you will have a friendly and warm person looking after your home and pets. :)

I am happy to adapt my communication style to whatever suits the homeowner, whether that be maintaining more regular updates or leaving them undisturbed to enjoy their well-deserved holidays.

I am also DBS checked and have first aid training.
