Hello, I’m a semi-retired teacher from New York City and have traveled the world. I’m an avid photographer and enjoy exploring new places. I love animals and will take care of yours as if my own. I'm quiet, responsible and gentle with your pets and your items at home.

Why they want to house sit

By pet/house sitting, I have met wonderful people who care as much about the dignity of pets as I do. I live in a coop where no dogs are allowed so I really appreciate when I have the opportunity to take care of them. I enjoy walks and being with dogs to explore. I consider dogs as people and integral parts of a family. They need to be cherished and loved.

Their experience

Beyond my own Shepherd-Husky I had while growing, I have a local dog sit with a cavachon. I have taken care of various breeds of dogs including Great Pyrenese, Chinese Crest, Doodles and mixed breeds. I intermittently do volunteer work at a dog kill shelter and have taken care of many different types of dogs through this very meaningful experience.

What can they bring to the assignment

As a responsible person, I will follow your guidelines and always keep communication open. Because I have a great empathy for animals, I can feel that they may have anxiety when their owners leave so I try to ease the pet's distress by gleaning as much background information that I can get about their habits, what they like and what will sooth them.
