Semi-retired couple who love new experiences and meeting new people

About this sitter

We are a semi-retired couple who are currently traveling throughout Europe (and eventually the world!) with a "Mobile Pain Clinic" where we offer our skills to anyone who wants help, in local rural communities or wherever we find ourselves. (wayofhealth.wixsite.com). We are both in great health and are active and refuse to act our age. Jody, 62, is a Canadian doctor of optometry and holistic medicine practitioner. Yaron, 63, is an acupuncturist, Eastern Medicine practitioner and Chi gong teacher. After our children grew up and left home, we released ourselves from the majority of our possessions in order to live "free-range", to experience different cultures and to meet different people. We are traveling with our Toyota Landcruiser and anywhere we stay, we will need to park it onsite.

Why they want to house sit

Sometimes after traveling about for awhile, we feel the need to stay put for awhile and experience an authentic, local lifestyle and to make connections with local people. We've met some wonderful people during our travels and many of them we are still in contact with and consider them friends.

Their experience

We both love animals and are interested in gardening (especially organic gardening) and all things health. Yaron has been blessed in the past to share his life with 2 German Sheppards, a gentle and kind Rottweiler, a lively border collie and many cats. Jody had an intelligent and energetic toy poodle, hamsters, birds and fish.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are clean and tidy, responsible and quiet. We have always treated any place we've stayed (eg Airbnb) better than our own home!
