Mature couple with two kind & easy dogs

About this sitter

We are in our early sixties, live in East Sussex, and are well-travelled. We're not retired yet, so regrettably can't spend our life being on assignment :)
Our dogs would come with us. There is Teddy, an Irish Setter who is 7 years old, and Poppy, a Gordon Setter who is 9. They are very easy-going and get on with all other dogs. We're very dog-oriented and your dog(s) or other animals will be the centre of our focus. We recently paid a huge amount of money for a three-week stay in Provence and we ended up looking after their chickens and cat all that time. But we enjoy it.

Why they want to house sit

We feel that it will be a nice way of visiting places we wouldn't ordinarily think of going to.

Their experience

We've babysat houses and animals belonging to friends, yes. Once we housesat for a friend in Provence and ended up staying there for four months to renovate her property. But we promise not to bring our sledgehammer to yours, don't worry.

What can they bring to the assignment

We're grown-ups and few things will faze us. Last holiday house we rented the borehole dried up on Christmas morning. Great. So my husband scouted around for an hour and found out how to switch us over to village water. We love houses, gardens and animals. We'll look after yours for you as well as we look after ours.
Between us we speak English, Dutch, French and some German.
