About this sitter

I'm a late 50s but young at heart, single woman who loves travelling. A journalist/radio broadcaster by background... and now working on writing a couple of books... I love exploring new countries and cultures and creating friendships with the beautiful people I meet along the way.

Why they want to house sit

I like to immerse myself in the places I visit. House-sitting allows me to live like a local and get a true sense of the community I'm in.

I also adore cats and love having the opportunity to care for other people's furry family members when they go away....showering them with as much love and attention as they want.

As a traveller I also really enjoy feeling like I've helped someone relax and enjoy their away time, knowing their home and fur-babies are being well taken care of. It's actually a privilege.

Their experience

I've been house-sitting and cat-sitting since 2018...in Australia and Poland. From December 2019 to January 2024 (when I commenced travelling again), I have had back-to-back house and cat-sitting assignments in Australia....many of which became repeat sits...some on several occasions.

What can they bring to the assignment

I'm honest, reliable, clean and tidy. I owned my own home for 20 years before selling up to travel extensively, so I'm handy about the house and have a calm and clear head if any issues should arise.

In terms of cat-sitting...I genuinely love cats and love hanging out with them, playing with them and giving them love and affection. I'm quiet and a bit of a home body... especially while trying to write...so I'm around to give them plenty of attention and company.

I also tend to take a lot of photos - whether it's flowers in bloom or random moments of a cat's day - and just send them because I figure people are probably missing those special moments....I know I would be. So, I can be relied on to send updates as often as needed.
