About this sitter

My name is Brent. I am 36 years old, and a man of many interests who currently has a "home base" in Phoenix, Arizona. I own and operate a few small businesses that give me the freedom to work when I want while giving back to the world in lovely ways. I work as a freelance writer, and a personal coach and, and, for about 9 months out of the year, run a garden design, installation, and maintenance business. The heat of Phoenix means that I have a few months out of the year to work remotely so I enjoy any opportunity to travel and meet new people.

I carry few expectations in a housesitting scenario, seeking to be open to help and try new things. Of course, I do have preferences and more experience with certain situations. At the same time, I love learning and stretching myself so I am adaptable and flexible to take on most opportunities, so discussions of expectations are welcome.

Why they want to house sit

I would like to house-sit so that I can experience new areas of the country/world while living in safe and beautiful places, and supporting people who would like to have the comfort of knowing their property and loved ones (animals or plants) are being well taken care of. I understand that it is much easier to relax while away on vacation when knowing that things are in good hands.

Their experience

I have years of experience in a variety of environments (Mountains, seaside resorts, desserts, or winter adventure camps) as well as with different animals. I grew up with pets (mostly cats and dogs) and am very comfortable with most breeds, but I also spent a summer as a wrangler teaching children how to ride horses. Over the years I have house/ pet sat for many friends, family members, and neighbors.
Additionally, I was raised by a woman who basically has a botanical garden in her backyard. My love of the earth and plants has grown into a hobby and business so I value being able to care for someone's entire property.

I bring a deep sense of care, responsibility, tenderness, and wantedness to leave everything "better than I found it". Beyond those desires, my extensive resume has equipped me to care for homes, grounds, and animals.
