3-Person WFH Family Available in US & Canada (We love animals and gardening)

About this sitter

We are a family of two professionals: Lygia (a journalist), Henry (a professor), and a 10 year old child (who homeschools). We work remotely -- so will be home all day for to look after your pets and home!

We are looking for sitting opportunities of at least one month in length. We're homeowners ourselves, and happy to provide references. We are also happy to do a video call to meet.

We are non-smokers, have driver licenses, and are very communicative, caring and resourceful. We will be happy to send you daily (or as frequent as you'd like) photos and updates on your pets and homes.

Why they want to house sit

To spend time with animals (as we are animal lovers but have no pets), get to know other areas, travel, spend time outdoors, and help out. We especially like farms and gardening.

Their experience

We are homeowners with experience caring meticulously for our own home. Henry has a wealth of animal care experience, having grown up partially on his grandparents' farm (with horses, goats, sheep, chicken, turkeys, ducks, pigs, dogs, and many other animals). In 2024 and 2025, we are on two long sits caring for two horses, and can provide references.

We also have experience with home exchanging, which includes caring for the homes of our exchange partners across Canada and the US. We are open to doing gardening of all kinds (including caring for house plants, of which we have 25+ of our own!) and yarn maintenance such as mowing lawns, etc.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are very quiet and respectful, and do our best on every task. We follow instructions carefully, and are serious, yet down-to-earth. We have extensive animal care knowledge, and are master gardeners.
