Hello from Utah, USA. 2024 will be my 4th year to travel to Europe for a Camino. I am hoping to mind your home while I recuperate from walking the Vie Francigena in Italy from Lucca - Roma and before I continue on to another, the Magna Francigena, in Sicily.

I am American and have lived in and traveled through the EU for many years. I am former US Air Force and speak some German and am always working on my Spanish and Italian. I feel comfortable taking buses or trains to get around. I love animals and can provide loving care while you are away.

I am a solo traveler and anticipate just myself in your home. My son is in the photos with his sweet dog that I enjoy borrowing often while at home.

Why they want to house sit

I will be walking a Camino the 30+ days prior to caring for your home and then walking again after. So, I will still like to walk your dog or walk the area as a tourist, but will mostly want to just enjoy the time to get to know your town and the people there. I love exploring Europe and this will be my 4th year in a row to travel there. My plane ticket is for 3 months to visit the EU.

Their experience

Yes. I have offered my home before on this site with great success. It was such a comfort to have good communication with my housesitter. I would offer the same. Great communication and great care of your home while you are away. I have stayed as a guest at many AirBnb's and have excellent references there. I often care for my son's dog and my last two cats lived to the age of 19 years and are deeply missed. I have also had chickens for many years. I speak English as a first language and use Google Translate as needed.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am accustomed to living and traveling in other countries. So, please don't be concerned. I am friendly, experienced with pets, and would treat your home as if it were my own. I have been a home-owner for over 30 years, am a mom, and know how to care for a home. I am open to a home swap in beautiful Utah, USA.
