Animal loving psychotherapist available to mind your home

About this sitter

I am a mature and responsible psychotherapist and musician with significant experience home and dog/cat-sitting. I currently am lucky enough to have some time off, so am travelling with my partner (who is a philosophy phd and experienced dog-walker and minder himself). We have our little Puck in tow--he's our sweet and trained papillon mix.

Why they want to house sit

I would love the opportunity to house-sit for the change in perspective it brings. I find housesits wonderful places for my writing projects (music, poetry, and prose). Additionally, I am very familiar with the stresses that come when travelling from one's home and how central animal and home care are. There's a feeling of accomplishment and respect that comes with house-sitting that I like.

Their experience

Yes. I have house-sat in apartments and larger homes; my longest client was Mandy the Collie in her New York apartment, every summer for several years. As her summer companion later in life, I gained experience in caring for an elderly dog with health issues (dietary restrictions and special feeding schedule, providing medication, assistance with walking).
