About this sitter
We are a well-travelled, well-educated, professional couple nearing 50. We appreciate culture, the sciences and the arts, and we do not drink or smoke. We look forward to living like the locals and discovering regional nuances.
Why they want to house sit
A change of country and pets is a learning and giving experience with every new sit. Our work schedule allows us this privilege on the one hand, and to help out owners on the other. House-sitting has led us to many adventures and unique regions that we might never have considered visiting otherwise.
Their experience
We have successfully house-sat and home-exchanged on numerous occasions before and we are happy to provide references. We are former pet-owners and treat pets just like human beings (if
they don't like cuddles, we respect that too!). We appreciate observing and spending time around pets and wild animals. We are very scrupulous about making sure they have access to fresh water
and food and get enough exercise. We are enthusiastic about gardening and we make sure plants have enough water (and are not over-watered), light and warmth.
What can they bring to the assignment
Being homeowners ourselves, we are very respectful of people’s private space and property and are more than pleased to water plants, keep your place safe, identify and fix small issues. We have engineering backgrounds - we are very pragmatic and have practical problem-solving skills.

Thoughtful, Skilled and Lovely Couple
I would make a joke about how perfect they are -- but I'm serious! This couple has the sweetest, gentlest energy. They communicate very well and are so thoughtful. I left on my trip before they arrived, but I was able to convey cat sitting instructions ahead of time with Marco Polo video and written lists. They sent photos of my cats while I was away. When I came home, everything was in perfect order, so clean, just as I had left it, and the cats were happy! We overlapped a day, so I got to meet them a little more and they are wonderful people, devoted and skilled house sitters. I highly recommend them, and I hope to have them back again!

Excellent house sitters
Steve and Belinda have house (and cat) sat for us several times. They are very friendly, positive people who took great care of our cats and the house. They sent us updates (and photos) of our cats, so we knew they were happy. I would throughly recommend them.

Cats happy
Steve and Belinda were perfect house sitters for Mario and Sophie, our cats, in fact they weren't stressed on our return. We found the house clean, they also took care of the garden, wetting it often, given the unusual high temperatures. We didn't have time to get to know them well, apart from a brief meeting before they left. We contacted them several times by phone to get news of the cats and the house, they sent us photos and videos. Everything went well, we recommend Steve and Belinda as house sitter.
