About this sitter
I’m a retired information scientist/specialist. I retired early because I love travelling and am interested in seeing and learning about new cultures, lifestyles and people. I have been travelling to all corners of the world quite a lot. I like animals, plants, gardening, hiking and cooking. I grew up in big cities but I like to have the opportunity to spend time in quiet surroundings, mountains, villages and small towns.
Why they want to house sit
It’s a totally new experience for me. I’m interested in human interactions, with animals and nature. I like to have new experiences and learn about how people live in all other parts of the world.
Their experience
I just finished my first assignment and I loved it! It was love at the first sight with the cute shy cat I was sitting for!
I do quite a bit of volunteering for gardening for organic farmers and cook regularly for shelters and cultural events.
What can they bring to the assignment
I love pets but don’t have any myself. I’m a caring and optimistic person. Love nature and animals. I feel blessed and am grateful for all life has offered me so far. And there’s been plenty to be grateful for!

Fabulous House-sitter!
Faraday was a wonderful house & cat sitter. Within 5 minutes of us leaving, our timid, nervous cat was on the sofa next to Faraday! Not only did our cat love her, my friends wanted to adopt her into our girlfriend group! She sent photos nearly every day; the cat was happy and healthy; the houseplants looked better than when we left; she left milk, eggs and butter in the fridge, as well as homemade applesauce and super delicious pumpkin lentil soup, so we'd have food when we arrived late in the evening. And the house was spotless when she left. We highly recommend Faraday as a house sitter and hope she's available next time we need a sitter!
