Ewa & Monika - best friends and experienced pet sitters

About this sitter

We are two friends born in Poland, but we met while working in the EU institutions in Brussels. Since then we are often travelling together. As much as we enjoy city life, we sometimes miss the countryside, having a garden… and pets, of course!
Coming from professional backgrounds we are both very organized and reliable. After living an expat life for seven years Monika is currently back in Warsaw studying for her PhD. In the meantime Ewa became specialist in wine (sommelier) and vegan cooking. Monika sometimes travels with Greg, her partner. He works as a manager in a corporation, speaks English and has a driving licence.
Being invited to look after someone’s home is an important responsibility. Your house and animals are precious and are to be treated with love and care. We will take careful note of everything you tell us about your pets and home and make sure that everything is carried out as you wish. We like to keep a clean and tidy home and will always respect your home and the way you like it. Interacting with your pets would be a privilege and a joy.
We speak English and French fluently, Monika also speaks German and some Spanish, and Ewa Italian.
Ewa has a driving licence.

Why they want to house sit

We love experiencing and exploring different places but we do not enjoy vacationing in an impersonal, crowded resort. Caring for a home allows us to experience being part of a community.

Their experience

We were surrounded by all kinds of pets since we were children. This must be the reason why we feel comfortable with them and miss having them around as adults living in big cities. We were taking care of dogs, cats, hens, birds, reptiles... And thanks to this website also pools and gardens :) We have been housesitters in France, Italy, Spain, Canada, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, UK, Thailand... We were also entrusted with cars (both manual and automatic gear) belonging to the house owners. Each time it was a wonderful experience and we tend to keep in touch with our "house owners".

What can they bring to the assignment

We are able to amuse ourselves quietly, we are not party people, and would intend for most of our time to be spent at the property. As we both work from home you can have the peace of mind knowing that someone is around during the day keeping your pets company and guaranteeing your home is secure.
