Moving Back From Japan

I’m looking to try out cities around the USA as a transition from living in Japan for 26 years and moving back to the USA for the first time since 1997!?

I have been studying Spanish in Madrid, Spain for the last year as the first step back to the States.

I like taking care of my own house and always leave places cleaner than when I got there.

I will be teaching online English & Japanese courses and hopefully completing a book about Japanese expat life for 26 years

Why they want to house sit

I left my home of 26 years with 6 large suitcases and want to see the USA before I just choose a place to settle down permanently.

I love working with people from all walks of life and have always been able to connect with new people almost immediately to set everyone at ease.

I was a tour guide in Ky?to, Japan for many years and met many Americans and people from all over the world.

Their experience

My experience is with friends and family who fortunately have second homes and I had 16 weeks paid vacation a year every year for 26 years so I took full advantage of the months long home stays every year and always made sure to keep their homes as good as new so I could return the following year.

What can they bring to the assignment

A bizarrely neat person who will take amazing care of your homes. Never shoes on in houses. It was always this way growing up in Massachusetts and not something I learned in Japan.

I am very responsible and really hopeful that I will be able to find great homes to take care of while I experience being an American living with Americans in different communities and also being able to use English in stores and restaurants for the first time in over 25 years!
