About this sitter

HI! My name is Megan, and I'm a digital nomad traveling around. In May of 2023 I left the US to travel, indefinitely. I teach online, and can set my own schedule, which leaves lots of time for doggie attention and affection.
I grew up in Minnesota, US and then spent 20 years in Colorado.
I travel with my 20kg 5 year old female mixed germanshorthair pointer/amstaff named Lilly. She loved everyone and everything, just not cats.
We are very active, walking/hiking 7-10km a day. I really just need WIFI and a nearby gym.
I have a Greek visa, so I can stay in the Schengen Zone and move about as needed.

Our perfect sits are with dogs who love to walk and play. I prefer the sit to be longer for a few reasons. first, the dogs really start to bond around 2 weeks. Secondly, it's easier to be in one place (and you get a longer holiday) and develop a routine for the dogs and for me.
We also do sits for dogs that aren't as active. Lilly is respectful of dogs' age and activity level. We work with smaller dogs as well.

We travel around, sitting homes and dogs and we have a great life. Before I left the US I lived in the mountains of Colorado at 3000m.
I know and understand upkeep, home ownership and maintenance.
I'm more than happy to manage your home so you don't have to worry while you are away.

Why they want to house sit

First, I love what dogs bring to our lives. I love the contribution they may for us, and if I can be a part of enriching their life I am happy.
Traveling full time has it's perks, and I love to be able to see different areas of the world, meet people, and travel slowly; meaning I take some time to learn about an area before moving on.

While traveling and holidays are so necessary I tend to worry. Is the animal ok, are they bored or happy? Let me provide that peace of mind for you; that you animals and home are safe and happy.

Their experience

I have been a sitter for years through friends and referrals and am just now finding these websites to be able to find more opportunities.
I've sat all over North America, Europe and the Balkans.
Dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, plants.
Large estates and city homes. Apartments in the city, homes in the suburbs and houseboats, beach houses, we've done it all.

What can they bring to the assignment

I bring my years of experience, my extensive knowledge of dogs and behavior, home owning and sitting experience and care.
I'm 50, and solo.
The party phase of my life is long over and I'm interested in a good, quiet life full of adventure, good food, friends and sunsets.
