Hello! We are Ximena Sulimovich and Uriel Machado, a nature-loving couple from Uruguay currently living in Spain. We have a deep passion for animals and the environment, which drives us to seek house sitting opportunities that align with our values of sustainability and minimalism.

Uri is 35 years old and has extensive experience as a dog trainer. He is warm, very organized, and has a knack for maintenance and handyman tasks. Uri has worked with various animals, from dogs and cats to farm animals. Over the past year, he has also worked as a teacher in a kindergarten, sharing his knowledge and love for animals and nature with children.

I, Ximena, am 39 years old and have a cheerful and spontaneous spirit. I enjoy gardening, music, and have a background in the audiovisual sector, which is now a hobby. Professionally, I´m a social Worker and have dedicated my recent years to working in various NGOs, providing therapeutic support to women and adolescents facing trauma.

As a volunteer at the animal sanctuary where Uri worked, I gained valuable experience caring for farm animals. Together, we also ran a dog hotel service at our home for 5 years, where we developed a deep understanding of the needs of pets in various situations.

When we engage in house sitting, we aim to connect with nature and create a nurturing environment for animals and plants. Ideally, we prefer long-term commitments where we can settle into a routine.

Why they want to house sit

We want to house sit because it allows us to explore new places and experience different ways of living. We're passionate about learning, especially when it comes to nature, animals, and sustainable living.

Additionally, house sitting helps us reduce our living costs, as our goal is to focus on our personal professional projects. We need time to develop these projects, and since both are online, the location where we work doesn't impact our process. Caring for homes and pets gives us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in unique environments while contributing positively to the community.

Their experience

We have significant experience in house sitting. We spent two years caring for animals at the shelter where Uri worked, living there full-time for two month. This hands-on experience allowed us to develop a strong understanding of the needs of various animals. In addition to caring for the animals, we also learned to perform a variety of handyman tasks, which enables us to handle basic maintenance and repairs around the home.

Additionally, we have taken care of several houses in Israel, as well as two apartments in Barcelona and one in Madrid. Our diverse experience in different environments has equipped us with the skills needed to adapt quickly to new situations and ensure that the homes and pets we care for are well looked after.
