About this sitter

We are a well-travelled couple with friendly and caring personalities. We are interested in travelling and experiencing different cultures, and visit several countries every year.

Jan is passionate about nature, travelling and children’s education. She is a UK certified Forest School leader and runs overseas forest camps for children. She has an MBA in business management from Reims University in France. She is very house proud, and very good at cleaning and keeping a house in good order.

Andy is a semi-retired management consultant. A graduate of Cambridge University, he is a published author of business books and fiction. He has a calm, gentle and thoughtful personality, and very good with animals.

We are very easy going, considerate, open-minded and flexible people.

We are both non-smokers.

Why they want to house sit

Apart from our regular travel around the world, we would like to have more opportunity to explore more widely and sometimes spend more time immersing ourselves in local culture and communities.

Their experience

We are not yet experienced housesitters, though Andy once did this in Canada many years ago. But we have rented many houses and apartments over the years for holidays, and always look after them well.

What can they bring to the assignment

We will bring a considerate and caring approach to every assignment. We will look after your house as if our own.

As animal lovers with a lot of experience looking after animals, we are happy to look after any domestic pets and follow the routines preferred by their owners. We have looked after animals throughout our lives, and have a very gentle and caring approach.

We are experienced in looking after gardens and plants in pots (etc), and are very happy to do so.
