Hi! We're Christian and Virginia.

We've been traveling around Australia the last five years in our van, stopping to work and immerse ourselves in new places. We've had the privilege of packing mangoes in Darwin, living on a tropical island in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, and volunteering at a kangaroo orphanage in the outback. We've recently completed our full lap of Australia and we're ready to be in Europe and closer to our family and friends.

A bit about us- Christian is from Wales, UK, and Virginia is from Brooklyn, New York. We met just over six years ago. We're both friendly, laid back people who are interested in meeting people and discovering new places on our travels. We’re quiet, we don’t smoke, don’t drink much except occasionally trying a local beer or wine in a new place. We’re also super tidy. Chris was a staff accommodation inspections coordinator at a tourist island in Australia and I was the housekeeping coordinator for a six star luxury resort, so in short, we both know how to keep an area looking clean.

Why they want to house sit

Because we are far from home, we miss having pets around. We also recently worked in a national park on a tropical island for over two years where no pets were allowed. It was for a great reason (to protect the wildlife), but all the same, we're missing the joy that comes with having a furry friend to look after.

We take pride in being in tune with the pets we have sat. If your pet is high energy, we will play. If your pet is senior, we will pay special attention to their needs. If your pet has separation anxiety, we will make time to keep them comfortable. If you are feeling the separation anxiety, we are happy to check in with you and send you updates and pictures.

Their experience

We each have 10+ years of experience house and pet sitting. Christian has grown up with both dogs and cats, having up to five at a time.

What can they bring to the assignment

We have experience with pets with different needs and personalities, and pride ourselves in our ability to prioritize what is best to keep them comfortable and happy. Most importantly, we LOVE animals. We can’t help but give them affection, cuddles, and play time. We don’t see it as a chore, but something that brings us joy. You can feel rest assured that your pets and your home are in good hands with us.
