My name is Frances.

I'm looking for a house-sit nationwide.

I'm an experienced sitter, having looked after houses and lovely pets before.

I value: peace, honesty, kindness, fairness and shrewdness.

The most successful sits, for homeowner and myself, were when we both trusted each other and could relax into the mutually beneficial opportunity that it was, albeit sticking to an (informal) contract. I expect this contract, which includes everything the homeowner needs me to know and do written down.

If it's helpful I can give small, weekly reports.

I do have difficulty physically talking at the moment, however I can write.

I'm currently looking for a vehicle so don't at the moment have one.

Why they want to house sit

I would like to house-sit because I want some peace. I like looking after others' properties and pets too.

Their experience

I looked after properties using kiwihousesitters when I travelled in NZ. This was a decade ago now. I would say I'm experienced; I understand the importance of both parties wanting each other, and painting a thorough as necessary provisio so everyone's happy and there's no miscommunication. I've looked after varying places: a townhouse and two cats in Auckland, a big cattery in Wellington, a hut with a hen on the coromandel, dogs in Feilding, and dogs for a lovely canadian family in the bay of plenty. It's no problem at all to look after my parents' place when they go away.

What can they bring to the assignment

It's a given that I'll look after a home owner's property with care and responsibility; and make sure everything's clean for when you come back. I do love animals so if you have them then I'd rather enjoy their company. I'm a relaxed sitter who respects the premise and cares a lot about doing the best for the pets, and living out her job well. What I bring is someone who won't trail from her word, and will communicate if necessary, wants to be there, and wants to mind the property.
