About this sitter

I have been a nomad for 10 years now, i continuously travel around the world. I often base myself in a country for a period of months and travel that country extensively getting to know the culture, customs and people. I enjoy the unique experiences and education that traveling has to offer. I have met some amazing people around the world throughout my travels and pet sits, many of whom i now call friends.
I use mainly public transport wherever i am.
I like to walk a lot to explore where i am, i like to hike, swim, i'm semi-adventurous.
I just love animals, i love to interact with them, i find them great companions hence regularly pet sit during my travels. I miss my pets, i had a dog, a cat and a rabbit, all have long since passed, hence why i love to look after other peoples pets.
I love the fun and experience of travelling but am also quite a homey person, that's why i like to pet sit so i can be domesticated for a while caring for someones home and the companionship of caring for their pets.
I have completed 14 sits with Trusted Housesitters all with 5 star reviews which i can forward to you. Also many sits on other sites. I am new to Mindmyhouse so trying to build up my reputation and references.

Why they want to house sit

I have house/pet sat on many occasions, it's always a pleasure to do so, to have the privilege to stay in someone else's home, i always care for it as if it were my own. It brings me a sense of comfort and calm in my chosen nomadic lifestyle to stay in a home environment for a while. Plus the benefit of being in the company of some of the cutest pets i've met.
Staying in someone’s home helps me gain insight to the community where they live and gives me the sense of being connected and in a routine for a while, especially when i have pets to look after, they quickly become my new best friends. It's lovely to wake up to a pet in the morning knowing i have purpose to my day.
Constantly traveling i am unable to have my own pet! hence it's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy, care for and dote on someone's else pet for a while, such a pleasure and a joy, how lucky can i be.
I have made some great furry friends over the years. I also gain a sense of value being trusted with someones precious pet, i would never let either of you down.

Their experience

I have house sat in several different countries so can quickly adapt and settle into the culture and routine of a new place. From large houses to studio apartments, i always leave the home as clean and tidy as i found it, if not cleaner, i am quite domesticated and enjoy chores.
I'm also a keen gardener and enjoy pottering so will happily take care of your garden and plants.
I care about the environment so am fugal with utilities so i won't be running up your electricity, gas or water bills unnecessarily.
I adore and dote on looking after other people's pets, it's great to have a special companion for a while. I promise to love him/her as much as you do. Both a dog and a cat lover, rest assured your pet will be well cared for as if it was my own.

What can they bring to the assignment

I bring love, care and experience to my assignments. I genuinely love animals, especially cats and dogs. Yes, having the free accommodation is great and beneficial but its looking after the pets which means everything to me. I have done dozens of pet sits and love each pet as if it were my own, some take a while to let you in but we get there and by the time i leave we're always best friends.
Having sat for so many cats and dogs and because i have time, i watch them closely and observe their personalities and idiosyncrasies therefore catering to each individual pets likes, dislikes and needs, like humans, cats and dogs are all different too! Its great and fun for me to take this time so i know i'm pleasing them, therefore i gain their trust and friendship. Happy pet, happy sitter.
