About this sitter

I live with my husband, three dogs, and one cat in Nebraska. I love to travel and see the world. I have a current passport and would love to add more stamps to my book. I work hard so I can play hard, which mostly means travelling as much as possible. I have a photography business, plus I am a fulltime police officer. I have two adult sons and one grandson. I have always been an animal lover, and I'm scared to death of spiders. Sorry no tarantula sitting for me. I have had guinea pigs, rats, dogs, and cats as pets.

Why they want to house sit

I can't think of something more wonderful than to experience all this world has to offer in exchange for caring for your home & pets. I feel like it is a win/win. I get to do what I love, travel; while giving you the peace of mind that your home and your babies will be taken care of as if they are my own.

Their experience

Although this official house/pet sitting is a new adventure; I got my first pet when I was 8 years old. I have had a pet in my life for over 45 years. All my pets have been rescues. My 17-year-old mini dachshund, named Sushi, recently passed away and it was heartbreaking. In 2021 I became a rat mom for the first time because my grandson thought it would be funny to show me his snake's food before feeding him. The moment I saw that cute little rat face I said, nope I'm not letting you feed this rat to your snake. You have to go get a different one and never show me your snake's food again. Within the hour I was at the pet store buying all the things you need to care for a rat and Googling how to be a rat mom. Her first year with me I threw a birthday party for her since rats don't live long. Seventeen humans and three dogs attended. My little Ms. Bojangles brought our family so much joy. If this, doesn't convince you that I will take care of your babies as my own then I don't know what will.

What can they bring to the assignment

First of all, when considering "will I take care of your home respectfully, responsibly and as if it is my own" I offer that I have rented multiple AirBNB properties with 100% positive reviews, which I can provide if requested. Second, "will your pet being taken care of and loved while you're gone" I have been a pet mom for over 45 years and the lengths I will go to for my pets is something to behold. Ask me for stories. Third, I have been a police officer for 18 years. I am responsible, dependable, personable, and I'm also pretty funny. Im also a plant mom to over 50 plants so you never have to worry if your plants will die while you’re gone. I am available various times throughout the year. For 2025 I have time in March, June, August, October, and December. I can also make arrangements if needed for other dates.
