Animal loving, non-smoking couple want to pet sit your animal friends!

About this sitter

We are Dee (56) and Phil (59) - a responsible married couple from England. We currently live in Suffolk and like to explore other places, whether town or country. Unfortunately, we had our last dog, a beautiful Lurcher called Purdy, put to sleep late this year so will be looking to travel to some places that we couldn't take her before we eventually look to rescue another.

Why they want to house sit

Firstly, we love pets of any kind so this is our main focus. Secondly, we love travelling to other places and meeting new people, so we always look forward to exploring somewhere new. We seem to gravitate to the sea or the mountains but also like exploring an interesting town or city.

Their experience

We have lots of experience of caring for pets and also of houses and gardens! In England we have been home owners for a long time and will treat your home with care and respect. We have also been pet owners for years...dogs, cats, rabbits, various small furries and fish. Dee also worked as a veterinary receptionist before, so is experienced around all animals including when they are unwell. Dee has also worked for the Police in various rolls including a 999 call taker.

We are used to caring for elderly pets and those with medical conditions including diabetes, so administering any medication would not be a problem!

Phil is an engineer and is very practical around the house so could deal with any small issues that might arise. Keeping the lawn mowed or flowers watered would be fine, we are used to maintaining a large garden. He works from home so just needs a good wifi connection.

In England we have looked after pets for friends many times and last year we had 2 dogs to stay for a few days after their owner's house, in a nearby village, unfortunately burnt down.

We started house sitting in 2017 when we returned from a 14 month adventure in South America. We sat for a couple and their two dogs, have become good friends and have been sitting for them ever since! They will provide a reference if required but they are no longer on this site. Please ask us.
