About this sitter

Nerissa- recently retired teacher and deputy principal of a primary school in her early 60's.
Peter- recently retired Business Analyst in his early 60's.
We would like to bring our experience in property & pet care along with us as we revisit favourite locations and explore new destinations.

We are not working so can dedicate our time to caring for your pet’s needs and maintaining your home/garden.

We are genuine, reliable, active, non-smokers who love animals - especially dogs and cats.

We have travelled extensively and have lived primarily in Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

We have enjoyed house-caring and pet-minding for friends/clients on multiple occasions. We have owned several homes and rented homes as well so we understand the responsibilities of maintaining a home.

We have a healthy lifestyle that includes walking, canoeing, swimming and camping, so we are fit and energetic and really enjoy walking dogs to check out the locality. We like exploring new areas but also love being at home with fur friends.

We are mature, clean, tidy, and responsible and will leave your place as it was when we arrived. Your animals, gardens and home will be lovingly looked after, fed, watered, and talked to.

Peter is a practical person and handy on house and garden maintenance.
Nerissa is a keen gardener and loves cooking with local produce.

We will be happy to regularly forward photos and email updates of your pet/pets while we look after them for your peace of mind.

We will happily share with you all our references and can continue contact via phone, email, or Skype.

Why they want to house sit

We enjoy housesitting as we relish the opportunity to 'live like a local'.
We have already met so many wonderful people through housesitting both homeowners and their neighbours, and many have become good friends.
We love animals and enjoy their company.
We like to learn about different gardens, plants and growing environments.
We were very fortunate to have many opportunities to travel throughout our working lives but now we are retired we can spend more time in a location gaining a more in-depth knowledge of the area.

We could not have asked for better house sitters than Nerissa and Peter. They looked after the house and garden as if was their own. Gardens were watered and weeded, lawns mown and new seedlings put in. House was spotless when we returned. They were such a pleasure to communicate with. After the first zoom call it was like we were good friends and that's what they have become. We were able to relax over the 5 weeks while away knowing our house was in good hands.

Nerissa and Peter were the consummate house/pet sitters. Our home was very well taken care of and cleaner and tidier when we got home than when we left.
