About this sitter

Hello, I'm Elaine, a Scottish artist living in Angers, Maine et Loire with my French husband. I have travelled all my life and now that I live in France I like travelling with my friend Lyane, and now that my husband has just retired we are hoping to travel more together.
We all love cats and Lyane and I catsit for our friends, as our own cats have died. I really like painting cats and birds, I am interested in ornithology and Lyane and I like culture and reading. My husband is happy on the interent! I am happy to petsit on my own, with my friend or with my husband. My friend and I can share a bedroom and double bed if needed. We all live in Angers so we can easily travel around France even at short notice. Lyane and I work for ourselves so can often work on the internet. My husband has an affinity with his garage, so I'm not sure if he will actually venture far from home or not...but he SAYS he wants to travel. We speak French and English.

Why they want to house sit

I love travelling and I work mainly for myself so I can take time off when I want to (more or less). My cat died a few years ago and I enjoy spending time with friends cats and drawing and painting them. I also enjoy drawing birds, chickens and cockerels. We all enjoy being in nature, and my friend Lyane and I also love culture and reading. We all love cats so catsitting, combined with travelling would be lovely.

Their experience

I have had cats since I was a child and I cat sit for a friend. My husband looked after animals when he was younger and my friend Lyane regulary cat sits for a friend of hers. (Lyane's cat died a year or so ago aged 20!)

What can they bring to the assignment

I can bring enthusiasm to draw your pet and the surroundings and I can leave you a sketch.
Your pet will hopefully be relaxed when you come home after having relaxed attentive company.
We speak both English and French so we can communicate easily with your neighbors and vets if needed. We are quiet and tidy.
